Red Bull

Sixteen years inside one of the world’s most respected creative organizations.

Some partnerships teach you how to make better work. Others change the way you think about work altogether. My relationship with Red Bull has done both. For more than sixteen years, I’ve worked alongside the brand documenting athletes, musicians, entrepreneurs, live events, original programming, and cultural moments across the US. Along the way, I led photography teams on larger productions, collaborating with producers, editors, marketers, and creative leadership to maintain a consistent standard across fast-moving assignments. Photography was the role I was hired to do but understanding how incredible organizations operate became the greater education.

Watching the Process

Most people experience Red Bull through the finished project. I experienced everything that happened before it existed. Every production revealed another layer of how ideas were developed, how teams collaborated, and how quality was protected, whether it reached millions of people or only a few thousand. Great work is rarely the result of one person, it’s usually the result of many talented people making consistently good decisions.

Leadership Without Being the Loudest Voice

As the relationship evolved, so did my responsibilities. Beyond shooting, I led photo teams, coordinated coverage, and helped ensure the final body of work felt cohesive. That experience reshaped my understanding of leadership. It’s not always standing at the front of the room. Sometimes it’s creating clarity. Sometimes it’s protecting the standard. Sometimes it’s helping great people do their best work without needing recognition.

What Consistency Really Means

People often associate creativity with originality, but Red Bull taught me to associate it with consistency. Not consistency in style, consistency in preparation, judgment, execution, and showing up regardless of the size of the project. Those habits become part of the culture and culture is what people remember.

The Outcome

If Eminem taught me the value of trust, Red Bull taught me the value of standards. Strong standards create better decisions. Better decisions create better work. Better work builds stronger brands. That’s the perspective I carry into every partnership today.
